2007 Chatter Creek Viognier

I first started making Viognier to blend into my Syrah. Luckily, I had

a few gallons left the first year to share with a few friends and customers.

To me, Viognier incorporates of some of my favorite characteristics

in white wines. It has the acid of Sauvignon Blanc, the mouth feel

of Semillon and the spice of Gewürztraminer.

The 2007 Viognier has a very floral nose with hints of peach, pear and

melon. In the mouth it presents the clean flavors of apple, peach, and a

hint of litchi fruit in its lingering finish. This is a well-balanced wine

that is a good match with lighter foods, especially fish.
