2007 Butterfield Station Merlot

The 2007 season started with a wet growing season followed by a temperate spring and a

short heat spike in midsummer. e grapes for the Butterfield Merlot are harvested in the

San Joaquin Delta area, which is Mediterranean in climate.

Tasting Notes

Our 2007 Butterfield Merlot is another example of the fruit forward style of the Butterfield

line, with hints of ripe cherry, blueberry and blackberry. A lovely soft accessible wine, with

a dash of vanilla from French and American oak.
